The Interact clubs in our district selected to support the Akron Children's Hospital as their district-wide service project this year, and they need your help! We would love to make this project even more successful with your support. If you would like to learn more about Akron Children's Hospital, you can read more about them here: https://www.akronchildrens.org/inside/
To support this amazing cause, you can simply:
1) Contribute anything from their Amazon Wishlist. This is a simple and convenient way to help this cause without ever having to leave your desk! Anything purchased from this wish list will be sent directly to Akron Children's. You can see their Amazon Wishlist by clicking here: Amazon Wishlist
2) Bring any of the items listed on the list (DOWNLOAD HERE) to the district conference on April 28th and 29th. A representative from the Akron Children's Hospital will be at the conference for the Youth Luncheon on Saturday, April 29th. Let's show them how amazing District 6630 can be when we work together! The list of needed items is quite thorough, so I suggest your club might choose one or two categories to focus on collecting. If your club would like to do a collection but cannot send anyone to the district conference this year, please contact me and we will make other arrangements. Please see the attachment for the full list of needed items as well as guidelines on what can be accepted!
3) Do a club service project and make fleece tie blankets for the patients. Several of our Interact clubs have already held a blanket-making service project, and we have already donated 150 blankets to the hospital. This is a fun and easy service project for Rotarians to do, and one of the top requests from the hospital. If your club wants to do a blanket-making project and would like a contact to get the fabric for free, please contact me at chelsea.talty@westg.org.
4) Make a cash donation online that will go directly to Akron Children's Hospital. You can make a donation of any amount at this link: Donate to Akron Children's Now
With so many ways to help, there is something for every club! Please consider participating in our Interact Service Project. We hope to see everyone at the youth luncheon at the District Conference on April 29th. Thank you, and don't hesitate to reach out to me at Chelsea.Talty@westg.org with any questions.
