About World Community Service (WCS)

Of the many organizations that look out for other less fortunate people, Rotary Clubs are up front pitching in. And District 6630 is no exception. The following Web Pages are designed to assist those who help in accomplishing these ideals. District 6630 has a cadre of experienced members to assist the membership in fulfilling the goals of World Community Service.

District 6630 is a Rotary District that participates in Rotary International’s World Community Service Program. Rotary World Community Service is “Rotary Clubs” with funds, materials, technical and professional expertise linking with Clubs in other countries as well as within the United States, who need help in implementing programs that help people or organizations who need assistance in improving the lives of people who can not by themselves reach adequate goals in their health, living standard, and/or education. This help is designed to improve the QUALITY OF THEIR LIVES: the lives of their families, neighbors and community. These unions between Clubs are usually made between two or more Rotary Clubs located in different countries. The World Community Service program was officially launched in 1967. Since then, thousands of WCS projects involving Rotarians around the world have been completed. Each year, Rotary Clubs provide an estimated US $26 million in funds and goods.
