Outbound District 6630 GSE TeamGSE Team Leader Dianne Dillion of the Mentor Club had her team picture taken January 22, 2008, during one of their meetings preparing for their May 2008 trip to visit Germany District 1800. Team preparation is well underway for this GSE Exchange funded by our district Rotarians' Annual Fund contributions. They will attend the District 1800 conference the same weekend as ours - May 16-18.

Klaus lives with his wife Almuth in Clausthal-Zellerfeld. He is a retired professor of the Technical University of Clausthal and of gsf which is a National Laboratory. His vocational activities concentrated on radioactive waste management with focus on disposal in deep geological formations. Klaus has been a Rotarian since 1970. He was Centennial Governor of District 1800 in 2004/05. His hobbies are Rotary, cycling, and cross-country skiing.
Carsten lives in Stadtoldendorf with his girlfriend Daniela. He is head of the purchasing department. Before that he learnt how to repair the machines that are needed for the production of flavours and fragrances. Then Carsten learnt how to manage the maintenance department where he worked before. After that he started work at the purchasing department and graduated as a buyer specialist. Carsten is member of JCI (Junior Chamber International) and works for its management committee. Carsten spends his free time playing tennis and badminton or watching soccer and startrek on television. He loves to hike and spend time in nature. He is very active and thinks that we should work to better ourselves.
Markus lives in Hannover, Lower Saxony. He graduated from Leibniz University with a Master of Economics. After working for an insurance company and a not-for-profit sickness fund, he is now employed as a project leader for a strategy consultant company which focuses mainly on the health care sector. While working full time, he is also pursuing a PhD, where he analyzes the opportunities and threats of the transfer of re-engineering concepts to the health care sector. In his free time, he likes to play tennis. As free time is quite rarely he tries to keep in shape by inline-skating and jogging.
Denis lives with his wife Cathleen in the city of Magdeburg, in the region Saxony-Anhalt in Germany. He joined the German Armed Forces in 1998 and graduated from Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg with a diploma in political economics with the focus on economic policy. After his studies his was working for 19 month as a platoon leader being responsible for the transhipment and transportation of every kind of vehicles through land, railroads, sea and air. Promoted as captain Denis today works in the headquarters of Logistikregiment 17. As assistant chief of staff he is responsible for meetings, conferences, military trainings/ exercises and daily duties like Emails, instructions and speeches. In his free time Denis takes a very active part in a sport club of handball. He is department manager, team coach and referee for the second highest league that there is in Germany. Denis enjoys sports, travelling and outdoor activities.
Stefan Schubert lives in Göttingen with his wife Claudia. Upon graduating from Georg-August-Universität Göttingen with a degree (Diplom) in Computer Science in Economics, Stefan started working for management consultancy Prof. Schumann GmbH as a Java software engineer. Today he works as a Senior IT Project Manager in the area of credit risk management. In his free time, Stefan enjoys travelling, table tennis and standard dance. He also volunteers as a table tennis coach for children twice a week at a local club.
Mark lives in Hildesheim, Lower Saxony with his girlfriend Britta. He graduated from the Frankfurt school of Business & Finance with the “diploma business economist in bank management”. He has led the executive board staff in a savings bank up to 2007. Here it was in particular responsible for the support of the board and the management of the investments in companies. In 2008 he started to lead the real estate unit of the savings bank as department manager. In his leisure, Mark enjoys sports, chess and reading books. |
