Going to Australia...
Meet Your Outgoing Group Study Exchange Team Members

David A. Cattani
David and his wife Julie live in Timberlake, Ohio and is a Senior Examiner for the United States Department of Labor. As a student of Public Policy, he has significant experience in workers compensation law and policy. He feels that his insight into the history of analogous programs would substantially broaden his understanding of how such programs are implemented abroad. Dave will be sponsored by the Rotary Club of Painesville.

Patricia Colleen Donegan
Patricia is the Second Shift Supervisor at New Horizons in Medina, Ohio. New Horizons is an adolescent (ages 12-17) shelter care organization that is run through the Medina County Juvenile Court. She is the supervisor of the managed case load. Patricia resides in Olmstead Township. During her time in Australia, she hopes to explore the differences in the criminal justice fields of the two countries. Patricia is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Medina Sunrise.

Amy Elizabeth Asseff
Amy has 4 years teaching experience coupled with her experience in medical billing and administration. Over the years her interest in medical administration (her father is a Medical Doctor) has grown due to its high litigated and legislated history. Her time in Australia will be spent to explore how health care is managed and administered outside the United States. As a teacher, she will also explore their educational system and how it compares to the U.S. Amy lives in Cleveland and is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Cleveland East.

Cynthia Druckenbrod
Cynthia is the Glasshouse Manager for the Cleveland Botanical Gardens. Going to Australia will give Cynthia an opportunity to gauge how they use their natural resources and how they conserve their country's biological diversity. She has a B.A. degree in Biology from Case Western Reserve and a M.S. in Entomology from Auburn University. Her goal is to enhance the Cleveland Botanical Garden's living collection and potentially bring a small piece of Australia to Northeast Ohio. Cynthia resides with her husband, Mark, in Moreland Hills and will be sponsored by the Rotary Club of Chagrin Valley.

Frank Kitchen
Frank is the Assistant Director of Student Activities at Lakeland College. He is responsible for scheduling diversity programs, orientation for new students and leadership development. He holds an Associate Degree from Lakeland College and a Bachelor's Degree from Myers University. Growing up in the military, Frank has traveled throughout the world. In his spare time he is a model and an actor. While on the GSE team, he will be studying the educational system of Australia. Frank resides in Willoughby.

April Majni
Rotarian April Majni from the Rotary Club of Mentor will be the team leader for our GSE Team. April was featured in a previous newsletter. April has been meeting with the team frequently. We are fortunate to have this enthusiastic and dedicated group of people represent our District. As we prepare for their departure, PDG Al Conners is putting our plan together to greet our new inbound Group Study Exchange friends from Australia in March-April of this year. We need the support of all clubs and Rotarians to make their stay in our district enjoyable.
